The clergy and leadership of St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church serve our parish with prayer, humility, and dedication. Each person plays a vital role in guiding our community in worship, teaching, and service within the Antiochian Western Rite tradition.
Saint Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church is under the omophorion of The Most Reverend SABA, Archbishop of New York, and Metropolitan of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. Metropolitan SABA was born and raised in Syria and has been Metropolitan of North America since 2023. His complete biography can be accessed here.
Saint Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church is a parish in the Western Rite Vicariate of the Antiochian Archdiocese. The Right Reverend Bishop JOHN (Abdalah) is the Auxiliary Bishop for all Western Rite parishes. Bishop JOHN is also the Auxiliary Bishop for the New England Diocese and fully participates in all the events of the Diocese of Los Angeles and the West.

The Reverend Fr. Gabriel Souza serves as the pastor of St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, bringing a deep love for Christ and a heartfelt commitment to the parish’s spiritual care. Ordained to the Holy Priesthood on February 26, 2021, by His Eminence Metropolitan HILARION of blessed memory, he comes to St. Nicholas with a rich background in parish ministry, teaching, and pastoral formation.
A convert to Orthodoxy, Fr. Gabriel’s journey into the Church shaped his desire to serve others through prayer, preaching, and the sacramental life. His ministry has included work as a parish priest, educator, director of religious education and faith formation for youth and young adults, and pastoral counselor. He finds great joy in helping others encounter the beauty and depth of the Orthodox faith.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Fr. Gabriel treasures his roots and remains close to his family, who look forward to visiting the parish. He enjoys reading, traveling, learning about the treasures of Orthodoxy, meeting people, and experiencing different cultures — all of which enrich his pastoral perspective.
Fr. Gabriel approaches his ministry with a heart open to serve, to listen, and to grow with the faithful in the life of Christ. He prays daily for the parish and looks forward to continuing to build up the community of St. Nicholas in unity, holiness, and love for our Lord.
