My Dear Parish Family,

A blessed and joy-filled Christmas to you and your families! As we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord for the first time together, my heart is full of gratitude.

Thank you for welcoming me so warmly into the life of St. Nicholas Church—your kindness, patience, and encouragement have been a true gift in this first season of ministry with you.

Christ is born, and in His light we discover again the hope, peace, and quiet joy that the world cannot give. My prayer is that this holy feast fills your homes with warmth and your hearts with the gentle certainty that God is with us—now and always.

As we approach Christmas, I warmly encourage you to take advantage of the final days of Advent as a time of stillness and preparation. On Tuesday, December 23, the church will be open beginning at 6:00 PM for a period of silent reflection, prayer, the Holy Rosary, and the Sacrament of Confession, as we wait upon the Lord present among us in the Most Blessed Sacrament. We will conclude this holy time with Benediction at 7:45 PM. Even a few quiet moments before the Lord can help prepare our hearts to receive Him anew at Christmas. This is also a reminder: get to Confession before Christmas!

I also warmly invite each of you to join us for the beautiful services of the great feast that Christmas is: Solemn Vespers and Lessons & Carols on Christmas Eve at 4:00 PM, and of course, the Solemn Mass of Christmas at 9:30 AM on Christmas morning. These magnificent and sacred liturgies carry us into the mystery of the Incarnation with a sense of wonder and childlike awe. Whether you have been here every week or it has been a little while, please know there is a place for you—truly, it isn’t the same without you.

As we step into a new year, I pray that Christ strengthens our parish family in love, unity, and generosity. May 2026 be a year of spiritual growth, renewed commitment, and joyful fellowship at St. Nicholas. I look forward to walking with you, praying with you, and building up this church together.

Thank you for letting me serve as your pastor. It is an honor I do not take lightly, and I am excited for all that God has in store for us.

Christ is born! Glorify Him!

With love in the Newborn King,

Father Gabriel
